| Water Warrenty Program Offered The City of Lewisburg is notifying residents of a program through a partnership between the Neational League of Cities (NLC) and Service Line Warranties of America (SLWA). This program offers a water warranty to homeowners for repairs on the outside water line that runs from the utility connection to the home. SLWA was selected by the NLC as an Enterprise Programs Partner. After a decade in business, SLWA has an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau. Curb-side recycling includes aluminum, plastic, steel cans, newspaper, computer paper, magazines and cardboard. Bags for plastic and aluminum recyclables as well as recycling brochures are available at City Hall. Recyclable materials are picked up the first full week (Monday-Friday) of each month and the third week of the month on customer’s regular trash collection day. If a holiday falls on a Monday during recycling week, recyclable materials are picked up one day later (i.e., Monday pickup is on Tuesday, Tuesday pickup is on Wednesday, etc.). When a holiday falls within the workweek, Thursday customers are picked up on Friday along with Friday customers.
